One of the traditional two dozen; it supplies the cooling bitter edge.

Cubebol cuts mutton fat the way rosemary camphor does, but colder.

Sugar rounds off the medicinal note and leaves the pine behind.

Shared sabinene, not camphor. It reads as more juniper, not less.

Two resinous bitters stacked; use one or the other, rarely both hard.

Cooling bitterness where you would normally reach for orange.

Bitter on bitter, but cubebol trips the cold receptor and lifts the cocoa off.

Both hold sulphury-green terpenes; the fruit stops smelling of jam.
